- Condon Bush, grandson of founder A.J. Bush, with his co-workers, Tom Rugotzke and Beatrice Piel, recreated his mother Kathleen Bush's "Secret Family Recipe" in the Augusta, Wisconsin, plant.

- In 1995, the "Secret Family Recipe" commercial spot with Jay Bush and Duke won a Gold Effie, one of the most prestigious awards in television advertising. The commercial has brought in piles of fan mail and photos from customers and their pets!
- In fall 1996, Bush's launched a new product... Bush's Chili Magic® - Chili Starter. Just add meat and tomato! Chili Magic is available in two different flavors: Traditional and Texas.
- The Bush family holds a family reunion every summer at the old family home. Of course, there is always plenty of barbecue and Bush's Baked Beans.
